Meet Kiersten: Our Murfreesboro-Made Expert

The only thing better than shopping local?

Shopping local with a local.

Kiersten Pepper is our Murfreesboro-made flooring and interior design expert. And she’s all about making your home and commercial reno dreams come to life.

Kiersten graduated from MTSU this May with a degree in Interior Design. We couldn’t be more honored that she decided to return to City Tile after flipping her tassel to continue to wow clients on the daily.

This is what dreams are made of.

As a Retail & Builder Sales Associate, you can think of Kiersten as the QB on your home or commercial project. In other words, she steps up and confidently calls the shots. But like any good leader, she hears out the needs and desires of her clients, and ensures those visions come to life.

But at the end of the day, it’s her genuine desire to help others that really gets the job done right.

“I like helping people. It brings me a lot of joy to make someone else happy. So having the opportunity to work with others and help them with their design process is very rewarding.”

Risks full of color.

In Kiersten’s experience, most clients have a general idea of what they want when it comes to style. It’s color choices that really seem to stump people.

Fortunately, that’s where Kiersten’s Interior Design expertise and continued industry education come in. With a client’s desired starting point in mind, Kiersten flexes her design skills to help fill in the blanks, and make selections that will contribute to the imagined outcome.

Pro tip from Kiersten herself: If you want to take a risk, do it in backsplash form. Whether that’s in your kitchen or your bathroom, a backsplash is a great place to go bold without spending big bucks to make it happen. Plus, if the reward isn’t quite worth the risk, it’s an easy (and relatively inexpensive) fix.

The Marvelous Mod.

With a passion for interior design, it’s easy to fall in love with every project she’s assigned. But that doesn’t mean Kiersten isn’t taking mental notes of her favorite end results.

Her personal style leans Mid-Century Modern. So it’s no wonder she has such a heart for the projects that call for a high-end, modern design.

Enough about design! What about Kiersten?

Flooring is Kiersten’s career. But true crime is her passion. She loves getting cozy on the couch to watch a true crime documentary. Or, she’ll pop in the headphones and listen to a good murder mystery podcast.

Otherwise, you can find her catching a baseball game, hanging with the fam, or planning for her upcoming wedding.

(Wow, Kiersten! Between school, work, wedding planning, and solving mysteries, you’re not busy at all!)
